Singing Together: Bochum sings together at the Music Forum

On Sunday, November 15, 2026, the Anneliese Brost Music Forum Ruhr will transform into an open sound space for all generations. During the sing-along concert Singing Together, around 150 children and young people will create a musical participatory program with well-known melodies and new sounds. The audience will be repeatedly invited to become a part of the performance.

When listening becomes making music together

The special power of this concert arises where the stage and the audience hall merge. Voices, instruments, and the mood of the audience combine to form a vibrant sound community. Instead of passively observing, visitors experience music as an immediate encounter: Each voice contributes to the overall sound, and each entrance changes the musical atmosphere.

Young voices, new sounds, and familiar melodies

About 150 children and young people bring their musical energy into the program. Familiar melodies provide a comfortable entry point, while new sounds pique curiosity and open the concert hall. The mixture of choir, instrumental music, and communal singing makes the format particularly accessible to families, young music fans, and all those who enjoy active music-making.

The Music Forum becomes a sound body

The Anneliese Brost Music Forum Ruhr is the home of the Bochum Symphonikers and a central concert venue in the city. Its acoustics support the clear synchronization of voices and instruments and give space to communal singing. Thus, a live atmosphere is created where musical precision and spontaneous enthusiasm come together.

Conclusion: A concert experience to participate in

Singing Together stands for an inclusive and intergenerational concert experience: free of charge, musically diverse, and right in the thick of it. Those who want to not only listen to music but also create it themselves will experience a special morning at the Bochum Music Forum on November 15, 2026. Admission is free, but a ticket is required.
