Dark Tenor brings Symphonica to Bochum
On April 24, 2027, the RuhrCongress Bochum will transform into a stage for great voices, orchestral soundscapes, and powerful rock moments: Dark Tenor presents his new show Symphonica – Rock meets Klassik. At the center is Billy Andrews, who combines classical singing with modern rock music as The Dark Tenor.
When classical meets rock energy
The production thrives on the contrast between dramatic orchestration, striking stage performance, and emotional sound. Classical melodies meet powerful band arrangements while light and sound merge into an atmospheric concert dramaturgy. This creates a concert experience that interweaves the feeling of opera, rock concert, and visual staging.
New show with luminous 3D cello
A special stage element of the Symphonica production is a luminous, 3D-printed cello, developed by Billy Andrews together with his partners in Berlin. The instrument adds a striking visual accent and underscores the connection between classical tradition, modern technology, and emotional live atmosphere.
Billy Andrews and the world of Dark Tenor
As Dark Tenor, Billy Andrews represents a unique fusion of classical singing, rock, pop, and cinematic sound aesthetics. His releases and tours bring classical motifs into a modern sound world, where powerful voices, precise synchronization, and catchy melodies come together. Universal Music describes him as an artist whose music combines classical elements with contemporary emotionality.
