Alpine folk music meets jazz, blues, tango, and modern sounds

The Herbert Pixner Projekt appears on November 6, 2026, at Christuskirche Bochum. The focus is on a special connection of various musical influences: Alpine folk music meets jazz, blues, tango, and modern instrumental sounds.

The concert shows how versatile traditional alpine music can sound when mixed with elements from different genres. Between familiar folk music echoes, jazzy timbres, bluesy passages, and the characteristic movements of the tango, a varied musical program emerges.
