Peter Schilling's Major Tom as an immersive journey with fulldome images

Major Tom: completely detached connects the music of Peter Schilling with an immersive journey through space. At the Bochum Planetarium, well-known songs meet impressive fulldome images and spatial 3D sound. This creates an audiovisual experience that makes music not only audible but also visually perceptible.

Music show under the planetarium dome

The 55-minute show takes the audience into a special atmosphere where sound and projection are closely linked. The dome of the planetarium serves as a large projection surface for the fulldome visualizations. Complemented by 3D sound, an intense experience surrounds Peter Schilling's songs and the fascinating idea of floating completely detached through space.

The title of the event refers to the well-known character Major Tom and is aimed at everyone who enjoys music shows in unusual settings. Instead of a traditional concert stage, visitors can expect an immersive presentation at the Bochum Planetarium. The combination of music, panoramic visuals, and spatial sound invites the audience to fully immerse themselves in the atmosphere.
