Rock classics between church walls: miners club live in Bochum
On Friday, November 27, 2026, the evangelical Johanneskirche in Bochum will transform into a special concert venue for handmade rock. The miners club from Recklinghausen will present revived treasures of rock history starting at 7:00 PM and bring the unmistakable spirit of great rock heroes live into the church.
Rock history with its own sound
The miners club consists of four musicians who have been active in successful bands for decades and came together for this project two years ago. Their concept: They dig up rock gems that are not necessarily among the biggest hits of their time, rearrange them, and give them their own musical color.
Between The Who, Pink Floyd, and Led Zeppelin
The program moves through the powerful soundscapes of The Who, Pink Floyd, and Led Zeppelin. Precise synchronization, distinctive guitar lines, and a powerful band sound come together with the special acoustics of the church space. This creates a concert experience that combines classic rock energy with a concentrated, atmospheric stage performance.
Live atmosphere with a special setting
The Johanneskirche creates an extraordinary resonance space for this evening. Between light, spatial sound, and close audience interaction, the songs unfold a compelling effect. The miners club does not rely on a mere copy of known models, but on an independent interpretation and loving musical rediscovery.
Free entry, donations welcome
Entrance is free. Donations are appreciated. Doors open at 6:30 PM, the concert starts at 7:00 PM, and is scheduled until around 9:00 PM.
