Bond Exhibition in Bochum: A Fascinating Journey through the World of 007

For over seven decades, James Bond, film history, and pop culture meet in this exhibition in the foyer of the Moxy Hotel Bochum. The collection of the Bond Club Wattenscheid combines original and detailed replicas, books, records, cinema advertising, coins, merchandising, games, jewelry, and posters to create an atmospheric artistic experience for film fans, collectors, and those interested in cultural history.

Between Film Replica, Design Object, and Pop Icon

The exhibition shows how strongly the Bond world is shaped by visual design, materiality, and iconic product design. Highlights include Oddjob's characteristic hat, Safin's mask, and the replica ID of James Bond alias Sean Connery, referencing the connection of the famous literary character with Wattenscheid. Each object tells of an era of cinema and the enduring impact of the agent myth.

Interactive Work Examination with Strong Voices

QR codes expand the exhibition with an interactive communication layer. Recordings by Dietmar Wunder, the German voice of Daniel Craig, acoustically introduce the world of Bond. This creates a multi-layered exhibition atmosphere where visual stimuli, film history, and cultural education intertwine.

Illustration, Satire, and the Visual Language of the Bond Universe

Images, drawings, and cartoons by Christoph Kossmann-Hohl, Oli Hilbring, and Waldemar Mandzel complement the collection. Their works provide a humorous perspective on characters, gestures, and motifs of the film series. Alongside the classic presentation of memorabilia, a varied dialogue between illustration, pop culture, and museum collection practice emerges.

The exhibition can be seen from October 4, 2026, during hotel opening hours at Moxy Bochum. Admission is free. On November 8, 2026, at 11 a.m., a special access will open to an exhibition that makes James Bond not only a film character but an international cultural phenomenon.
