Three Countries, Different Perspectives, and the Question of Reality

With „CROSS CHECK – Reality Constructions in a European Context”, the Bochum Art Association presents an international group exhibition at the Cultural Historical Museum Haus Kemnade. Artistic positions from Germany, Denmark, and Greece are on display.

The exhibition addresses the European context and the question of how reality is constructed, perceived, and communicated. The title CROSS CHECK refers to the act of checking, comparing, and juxtaposing different perspectives. The international compilation brings together positions from three European countries at a common exhibition venue.

International Art in Haus Kemnade

The Cultural Historical Museum Haus Kemnade provides the framework for this exhibition of the Bochum Art Association. Visitors can discover the works shown in the historic spaces of the museum and engage with the various artistic viewpoints. The exhibition focuses on connections within Europe and makes different approaches to reality and perception experienceable.

“CROSS CHECK” is on view from November 8, 2026, to April 4, 2027 at the Cultural Historical Museum Haus Kemnade, An der Kemnade 10 in Hattingen. This provides the exhibition several months to plan individual visits to the international group show.
