Becoming sustainably creative: The studio for the climate at the Bochum Art Museum

On Sunday, November 15, 2026, the Bochum Art Museum will transform into an open creative space for children and adults as part of NOW! A WEEKEND FOR THE CLIMATE. From 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, participants will create their own artworks and ideas for a more conscious everyday life using recycled and natural materials.

Creativity meets climate awareness

The sustainable studio combines cultural education, collaborative creation, and practical sustainability. Instead of throwing things away, the focus is on rethinking: materials take on new forms, stories become visible, and individual objects emerge from simple things.

Family program with festival character

As part of the three-day Bochum Climate Festival, the workshop offers a lively multi-day experience around climate change, nutrition, and social change. The festival program combines workshops, discussions, music, theater, and encounters at several cultural and educational locations in the city.
