Printed Greetings: Creative Monotype at the Bochum Art Museum

When color meets paper, small artworks with a personal touch are created: In the Printed Greetings workshop, children aged eight and up and adults discover monotype and create their own greeting or Christmas cards. On Thursday, November 5, 2026, artist Debora Antonello invites you to a creative event experience at the Bochum Art Museum.

Every print becomes a unique piece

Monotype combines simple hand movements with surprising results. A motif is first created on a smooth plate, such as glass or metal. Paper is then placed on top and gently pressed. Because the color is largely used up during the first print, no print is alike.

Plants, shapes, and personal greetings

The focus is on plants and self-designed elements. From natural structures, lines, and imaginative shapes, participants develop individual cards. Thus, a collection of special unique pieces grows step by step during the workshop, which can later be given as personal greetings or Christmas cards.

Art education for children and adults

The event is aimed at families, creative beginners, and everyone who enjoys experiencing art hands-on. The calm studio atmosphere creates space for experimenting, observing, and co-creating. The Bochum Art Museum combines organization, art education, and low-threshold targeting into a workshop for multiple generations.
