Magical Adventures with the Little Witch in Bochum

On the grand stage of the Schauspielhaus Bochum, Otfried Preußler's beloved children's book classic comes to life anew. The family theater production tells a story of courage, curiosity, and the important question of what makes a good witch.

A Enchanting Story about Courage and Self-Confidence

The little witch is 127 years old and thus still much too young for the big witches to celebrate Walpurgis Night on the Blocksberg. Nevertheless, she dares to go there on her broomstick. When her adventure is discovered, she receives a difficult task: she must learn magic spells for a year and prove that she is a good witch.

Together with her clever raven Abraxas, she experiences magical encounters, creates a stir with her magical talents, and discovers her own path. The story conveys in a child-friendly manner that rules can be questioned and that making one's own decisions requires courage.
