Olchi Christmas Fun for Little Theater Fans in Bochum
On Sunday, December 20, 2026, it will be wonderfully quirky, musical, and Christmas-like at the Theaterrevier in Bochum: At the Advent reading The Olchis Celebrate Christmas, children aged four and up will experience an imaginative story based on the popular children's book by Erhard Dietl.
A Christmas World Full of Nonsense and Fantasy
In Schmuddelfing, the Olchis discover the Christmas market, Christmas songs, and roasted almonds. The quirky green characters saw, hammer, bake, and make poetry – of course, in their very special olchi way. When they offer their unusual stuff in exchange for fish bones and shoe soles, the story really picks up speed.
Reading, Playing, Singing, and Participating
The Theaterrevier team reads, plays, and sings through Erhard Dietl’s olchi Christmas story. The event combines theater, music, and storytelling together. Children experience the story not just as an audience but also have space to participate, marvel, and explore.
Age-Appropriate and Family-Friendly
The program is suitable for children aged four and up, tailored to meet the needs of young theater guests. The playful combination of language, movement, music, and humor fosters attention, imagination, and joy in shared cultural experiences. Parents and children spend a festive time together filled with children's laughter, curiosity, and learning fun.
Olchi Christmas Singing with Pele Götzer
On December 20, the olchi Christmas singing with Pele Götzer will be the highlight. The Advent Sunday at the Theaterrevier sounds particularly lively: familiar Christmas atmosphere meets quirky olchi humor and an invitation to sing together.
The Theaterrevier offers families a protected indoor space for a winter cultural experience. The event is suitable as a special Advent afternoon for children aged four and their accompanying persons.
