Visions of a Theology of Co-Creation – an evening for heart, mind, and responsibility for creation
In a quiet, mindful atmosphere, the Protestant City Academy Bochum invites you to a special experience of faith: Reflecting together, praying in the heart, discussing – and strengthening spiritual community. The central question is how theology can offer a healing, life-affirming perspective in light of the climate crisis, species extinction, and eco-anxiety.
Spiritual Community: Hope for a Threatened Creation
With inner calm and clear language, fundamental theologian Prof. Julia Enxing introduces the theology of co-creation. Images of earth, water, breath, and light shape this evening – as symbols of lived spirituality that promotes responsibility, compassion, and solidarity with all creatures.
Expertise and Theological Depth
From an evangelical and ecumenical perspective, terms such as creation theology, prayer, liturgical experience, process theology, and animal theology will be discussed. The evening connects faith practice and theology: What does faith today say about the preservation of creation? What resources does Christian spirituality hold against powerlessness and eco-grief?
Authority on Site: City Academy as a Forum for Contemporary Issues
The Protestant City Academy Bochum, led by Pastor Dr. Anja Nicole Stuckenberger, sees itself as an open forum in the city: Lectures, discussions, and educational programs create space for religious experience, dialogue with the sciences, and responsible theology.
