When gravity takes a break: "CATCHING COLD!" in Bochum

In the Varieté et cetera, winter becomes a sparkling stage: "CATCHING COLD!" combines breathtaking acrobatics, juggling, music, comedy, and dynamic roller skating to create a versatile stage experience from October 30, 2026, to February 28, 2027. The show starts on Saturday, November 28, 2026, at 8:00 PM.

Artistic play with gravity

The production takes you through a world where bodies become seemingly weightless and objects develop their own rules. Aerial acrobatics, trapeze, contortion, and partner acrobatics set strong visual accents. The trio Beautiful brings precise hand-to-hand acrobatics to the stage, while Sudi Salumu explores the limits of human mobility with extraordinary body control.

Juggling, speed, and surprising twists

Walid Merhi lets balls and Frisbees swirl through the air, turning juggling into a dynamic game of rhythm, timing, and risk. Adding to this are the spectacular roller skating acts of Skating Willers and the trapeze duo Deibit y Nimeria. Each performance develops its own dramatic impulse, culminating in a varied variety evening.

Comedy meets music and variety tradition

The evening is hosted by Pierre Poissonnet, who enchants with singing, charm, and artistic skill. As an artist from the eighth circus generation, he combines moderation and stage presence with the tradition of Skating Willers. Comedic counterpoints are provided by Davide “Skizzo” Nicolosi, whose stage character blends magic, music, dance, anti-juggling, and spontaneous comedy.

Light, costume, and stage design as independent teammates

The direction by Sammy Tavalis merges various disciplines into a fast-paced show dramaturgy. Light design, costumes, and stage set create an atmospheric framework for a stage experience oscillating between festive winter mood, artistic tension, and anarchic humor. This creates a theatrical atmosphere that is not confined to a single genre but plays out the entire spectrum of modern variety arts.

Conclusion: An evening of wonder

"CATCHING COLD!" promises an evening where acrobatics, comedy, and music intertwine seamlessly. Those who wish to experience the precision of performance art, the energy of international acrobatics, and the magic of a live shared audience reaction will find an extraordinary outing at the Varieté et cetera. Secure your tickets and experience the winter show where every risk turns into a moment of great stage art.
