When the winter air crackles: "CAUGHT CHILLING!" at Varieté et cetera

On December 6, 2026, Varieté et cetera in Bochum transforms into a sparkling ring full of acrobatics, music, comedy, and surprising twists. The winter show "CAUGHT CHILLING!" combines international artistry with a vibrant theater atmosphere and invites you to indulge in a sensual stage experience filled with awe, laughter, and breathless excitement.

A thrilling dramaturgy between artistry and humor

The production relies on the appealing contrast of daring aerial acrobats, flexible contortionists, modern juggling, and death-defying roller skate artistry. Director Sammy Tavalis shapes an evening full of variety, whose dramaturgy thrives on swift transitions, visual surprises, and comedic moments.

The show is hosted by Pierre Poissonnet with singing, charm, and artistic instinct. As a member of a renowned circus family, he combines moderation and stage presence with the speedy roller skating acrobatics of the Skating Willers. The acoustics of the hall, changing lighting moods, and the carefully designed set give each performance its own rhythm.

International artistry in the spotlight

Sudi Salumu showcases contortion at the highest physical level and received the Special Award at the Varieté et cetera Newcomer Show in Leipzig in 2025. Walid Merhi brings together balls and frisbees in a juggling act that combines classical music with modern beats. The trio Beautiful focuses on precise partner acrobatics and impressive hand-to-hand elements.

Joining them are also Kimberley Lester and the Skating Willers, Duo Deibit y Nimeria on the trapeze, and Davide "Skizzo" Nicolosi. His stage character blends comedy, magic, music, dance, and anti-juggling into an anarchic, surprise-filled note. Thus, a variety show is created that intricately weaves artistic excellence and immediate audience reactions together.

Light, costume, and movement as a total work of art

The lighting design by Ronny Cabello precisely highlights the body lines of the artists. Together with the set design by Ronny Cabello and Patrick Siekmann and the costume design by Lara Cabello, a wintry visual world emerges that shifts between shine, pace, and comedic exaggeration.

Especially in the quiet seconds before a risky move, the special power of this stage experience unfolds: The hall holds its breath before a secure grip, a perfect turn, or a surprising punchline releases the tension. "CAUGHT CHILLING!" thrives on this interplay of concentration and carefree entertainment.

An evening for variety fans and curious explorers

The winter show is aimed at all who want to not only observe stage art but experience it directly. Acrobatic performances, juggling, roller skate art, comedy, and singing unite for an evening that playfully blurs the boundaries between circus, theater, and grand entertainment.

Conclusion: At Varieté et cetera, the audience can expect an energy-filled winter show on December 6, 2026, featuring international artists, artistic precision, and a lot of humor. Those who want to be carried away by light, music, and movement will experience "CAUGHT CHILLING!" most impressively live in the hall.
