„CAUGHT COLD!“: A wintry variety show full of acrobatics and surprises

The show „CAUGHT COLD!“ combines international variety art with music, comedy, and spectacular body images – also on December 27, 2026, at the Bochum Varieté et cetera on Herner Straße.

Artistic thrills in a winter atmosphere

The production focuses on the classic appeal of variety: Each number opens up a new field of tension between balance and risk, elegance and comedy. Aerial acrobatics, trapeze, contortion, juggling, and roller-skating acrobatics transform the stage into a place where gravity seemingly loses its rules. Lighting design and set design create the atmospheric framework of a modern winter show.

An ensemble of elegance, speed, and humor

The evening is hosted by Pierre Poissonnet with singing, charm, and artistic presence. The host, coming from a circus family, combines the tradition of the classic showman with the pace of a contemporary variety production. Together with Kimberly Lester, he also performs a fast-paced roller-skate number on stage.

Surprising twists are provided by Davide “Skizzo” Nicolosi. His stage persona combines magic, music, dance, comedy, and anti-juggling into a quirky play with the audience's expectations. Sudi Salumu brings an extraordinary physical art to the stage as a contortionist, while Bochum artist Walid Merhi seemingly sends balls and frisbees weightlessly through the air with modern juggling.

Direction with a sense of rhythm and grand images

The direction is handled by Sammy Tavalis. His production brings different disciplines together into a varied tension arc: Moments of concentrated silence are followed by rapid artistic transitions, musical accents, and comedic releases. The costume design by Lara Cabello, the lighting design by Ronny Cabello, as well as the set design by Ronny Cabello and Patrick Siekmann shape the visual signature of the evening.

A stage experience for the winter season

„CAUGHT COLD!“ thrives on the immediate contact between stage and audience. The acoustics of the variety theater, the play with light and shadow, and the visible physical precision of the artists create a theatrical atmosphere that cannot be experienced from a distance. Amazement, laughter, and tense audience reactions are closely interwoven here.

Conclusion: Winter show with artistic energy
