"CAUGHT ICE COLD!": When Gravity Takes a Break

At Varieté et cetera Bochum, winter becomes a grand stage for international acrobatics, rapid comedy, and surprising moments. The winter show "CAUGHT ICE COLD!" combines acrobatics, juggling, contortion, music, and roller skating artistry into a diverse stage experience for all those who want to connect the atmosphere of the theater with spectacular variety arts.

A Production Between Thrill and Lightness

Under the direction of Sammy Tavalis, a show evening unfolds that dramaturgically connects different disciplines of stage art. Host Pierre Poissonnet guides through the program, sings live, and together with Kimberly Lester brings the traditional roller skating artistry of the Skating Willers to the stage. Precision, speed, and musical rhythm come together with charming moderation.

Acrobatics That Takes Your Breath Away

Sudi Salumu performs contortion at the highest level, transforming his body into a seemingly boundlessly movable instrument. The trio Beautiful from Ukraine relies on balance, trust, and elegant partner work with hand-to-hand acrobatics. In the air, Deibit y Nymeria provide spectacular moments on aerial straps. Their performance culminates in the extraordinary teeth hang, where Conchi holds her partner solely with the strength of her jaw.

Juggling, Records, and Rapid Roller Skating

Walid Merhi brings balls and Frisbees to life in a modern juggling routine that blends classical music with contemporary beats. Kimberly Lester presents an award-winning antipodes act and balances up to six balls with her feet while lying on her back. The Skating Willers continue a storied variety history that began in the 1970s.

Comedy with Anarchic Energy

The comic break is provided by Davide "Skizzo" Nicolosi. His stage character combines magic, music, dance, comedy, and anti-juggling with spontaneous ideas. This creates an evening where concentrated acting skills, artistic excellence, and exuberant audience reactions meet directly.

Conclusion: A Winter Evening Full of Wonder

"CAUGHT ICE COLD!" promises a sensory stage experience with sparkling lighting moods, precise acoustics, imaginative costume design, and spectacular stage design. For those who want to experience international variety arts, hearty humor, and excitement live, Varieté et cetera is the perfect place for an extraordinary evening.
