Christmas Forest: A modern fairy tale about the magic of giving
When the lights in the Traumbaum Theater become warmer and the Advent season unfolds its own stage magic, an imaginative journey for children aged four and up begins with Christmas Forest, the modern Christmas fairy tale. The production entertainingly questions what Christmas is really about: sparkling expectations, shared wonder, and the quiet moments when closeness becomes more important than possession.
A fairytale trail through the Advent season
The play combines the familiar imagery of the Christmas fairy tale with a contemporary view of the holiday. Between the Christmas tree, winter atmosphere, and narrative surprises, a stage experience emerges that directly engages young audiences. The dramaturgy guides through a story full of warmth, humor, and child-friendly discoveries.
Theater atmosphere with imagination and feeling
In the stage design of the Traumbaum Theater, the play space transforms into a magical winter landscape. Lighting moods, costumes, and the concentrated acoustics of the small venue create an intimate closeness to the audience. Every gesture gains significance, every glance opens a new door in the Christmas forest.
Theater art for the whole family
The production focuses on clear, lively language and direct audience engagement. Especially for younger children, theater becomes a sensory experience: The plot remains understandable while play, rhythm, and stage action allow room for individual imagination. The Traumbaum Theater is established as a venue for children's and youth theater in Bochum, combining theatrical art with cultural mediation.
A compact stage experience with follow-up
The performance lasts about 50 minutes and is complemented by a follow-up. This way, the stage event resonates beyond the final applause. Children can share impressions, ask questions, and think further about the fairy-tale motifs together.
Conclusion: Christmas magic that continues to shine in the audience
Christmas Forest, the modern Christmas fairy tale invites families for a heartwarming break from the pre-Christmas hustle and bustle. A fantastical production, child-friendly dramaturgy, and a theater atmosphere where shared wonder becomes the most important stage moment is expected. Those who want to not just see Christmas but feel it as a living stage experience will find a cozy place for it at the Traumbaum Theater.
