Christmas Forest: A modern Christmas fairy tale full of warmth and excitement

When Christmas begins in the theater, the stage transforms into a mysterious forest. At the Traumbaum Theater in KulturMagazin, children aged four and up can experience Christmas Forest, a dynamic Christmas fairy tale about gifts, getting lost, and the question of what Christmas truly means.

An adventurous journey through the Christmas forest

For Eberhard and Mops, it is initially clear: Christmas means gifts. When they realize that their parents are missing one present, they set off into the forest to get a Christmas tree. However, what starts as a simple plan turns into an exciting adventure: they get lost and find themselves all alone on Christmas Eve among dark trees.

As the forest darkens and the story brightens

The staging works with powerful theatrical images: The moon glimmers through the clouds, the cold makes teeth chatter, and the darkness grows step by step. It is precisely in this threat that the special dramaturgy of the piece unfolds. The further Eberhard and Mops stray from the path, the closer they come to the Christmas story – and to a deeper understanding of what Christmas is all about.

Dynamic acting for children and families

Christmas Forest combines child-friendly excitement with a clear, open-minded message. The current nativity play is aimed at people of all cultures and beliefs. The direction focuses on movement, immediate playing situations, and a theater atmosphere in which young spectators can actively immerse themselves in the stage experience.

A theater experience with follow-up

The performance lasts about 50 minutes and is followed by a 15-minute debriefing. This allows the Traumbaum Theater to create space for conversations, impressions, and questions. This makes the production particularly suitable for kindergarten groups, school classes, families, and anyone looking for a concentrated Christmas piece with educational value.

Conclusion: Christmas begins with a meeting

Christmas Forest guides its audience through cold, darkness, and confusion – and finds a warm-hearted answer to the great Christmas question. Children aged four and up experience a lively staging that connects adventure, acting, and societal openness. Those wishing to discover Christmas as a shared stage experience will find a festive start to the holiday season at the Traumbaum Theater.
