„EISKALT ERWISCHT!“: Variety between excitement, poetry, and anarchic humor
When the lights go out in the Varieté et cetera, a wintry journey full of wonder, speed, and surprising twists begins. „EISKALT ERWISCHT!“ combines international acrobatics, music, comedy, and elegant stage art into a sensual stage experience for all who want to experience the magic of variety live.
Acrobatics that defies gravity
The production by director Sammy Tavalis relies on a varied tension arc: daredevil aerial acrobats rise on straps into the heights, while the duo Deibit y Nymeria from Madrid condenses strength, trust, and risky spins into an impressive partner performance. The stage design, lighting mood, and precise choreography give the performances an atmosphere between circus magic and modern show art.
An ensemble full of contrasts
Pierre Poissonnet leads the evening with moderation and singing. The artist comes from a traditional circus family and combines the elegance of classical variety entertainment with the dynamics of modern roller-skate artistry. Together with Kimberly Lester, he continues the family tradition of the Skating Willers. Their rapid roller-skate cascade promises speed, precision, and a moment when the stage itself becomes a spinning top.
Contortion, juggling, and surprising visuals
Sudi Salumu presents an extraordinary body art as a contortionist. The artist from Zanzibar has been performing on stage since he was twelve, has appeared in numerous countries, and received the Special Award of Varieté et cetera at the Newcomer Show in Leipzig in 2025. His movements combine extreme flexibility with expression and astonishing lightness.
The young Bochum artist Walid Merhi brings balls and Frisbees into a precise, modern flow of movement. Classical music elements meet contemporary beats. Comedic contrasts are provided by Skizzo, whose stage character blends magic, music, dance, anti-juggling, and spontaneous comedy together. The trio Beautiful and Kimberley Lester expand the program with elegant acrobatics and antipodist artistry.
A winter show with international flair
„EISKALT ERWISCHT!“ thrives on the dramatic tension between danger and lightness. Moments of physical peak performance are followed by musical transitions, humorous breaks, and poetic visuals. Costumes, acoustics, and lighting design shape a theatrical atmosphere where the audience immediately experiences the shift from excitement, laughter, and amazement.
