When Gravity Holds Its Breath: ICE COLD CATCH! in Bochum

At Varieté et cetera Bochum, winter begins with a stage experience full of thrills, humor, and artistic precision. ICE COLD CATCH! combines international acrobatics, music, comedy, and rapid roller-skating skills into a colorful variety production. On November 20, 2026, the curtain will rise at 8 PM for a show in which every moment balances between amazement and laughter.

Artistic Highs and Dizzily Tension

The dramaturgy of the winter show relies on strong contrasts: fearless aerial acrobatics meet flexible contortion, powerful juggling meets elegant roller-skating cascades. The duo Deibit y Nymeria brings spectacular spins, artistic feats of strength, and risky falls to the stage. Their performance transforms the stage into a weightless space, where every movement creates tension.

A Man Without Bones and Juggling with Modern Energy

The contortionist Sudi Salumu positions his body in ways that lie between artistic precision and surreal wonder. The artist from Zanzibar has been performing on stage since he was twelve and received the Special Award at the Newcomer Show in Leipzig in 2025 at Varieté et cetera.

Walid Merhi introduces a modern form of juggling with balls and frisbees to Bochum. Classical musical influences blend with contemporary beats, while the trajectories of the objects draw flowing images in the air. His training at the State Circus School Berlin forms the professional basis for a performance that combines precision with dynamic stage energy.

Roller-skating Acrobatics, Singing, and Anarchic Humor

The evening will be led by Pierre Poissonnet, who combines moderation and live singing with artistic skill. Together with Kimberly Lester, he continues the tradition of the Skating Willers. Their roller-skating act promises speed, balance, and the electrifying moment when each spin becomes a dramatic miniature.

Comedic breaks are provided by Davide Skizzo Nicolosi. His stage character combines magic, music, comedy, dance, and anti-juggling with spontaneous moments. Thus, the production gains a playful, surprising note alongside its physical intensity.

Direction, Stage Design, and Light as Scenic Forces

Director Sammy Tavalis brings the different disciplines together for a cohesive variety evening. Light design, costumes, and stage design create the visual framework for a stage experience that balances between a wintry atmosphere, vibrant movement, and artistic danger. The theatrical art of moderation connects the individual acts, while music and acoustics carry the rhythm of the show.

Conclusion: A Winter Evening Full of Wonder

ICE COLD CATCH! promises a fast-paced winter show with an international ensemble, spectacular aerial acrobatics, contortion, juggling, comedy, and roller-skating artistry. Those who want to experience variety as an immediate theater atmosphere, physical stage art, and collective wonder will find an evening with strong images and surprising turns at Varieté et cetera.
