At Varieté et cetera Bochum, the winter season begins with a stage experience full of acrobatics, comedy, music, and surprising turns. The winter show ICE COLD CAUGHT! combines international artistry with fast-paced entertainment and a theatrical atmosphere where every moment becomes a little miracle.

Acrobatics Between Thrill and Elegance

Dizzying aerial acrobatics, flexible bodies, and death-defying roller-skating artistry define the production. The ensemble guides the audience through a varied dramaturgy that alternates tension, precision, and poetic images. Sudi Salumu transforms his body into an astonishing work of movement art, while Walid Merhi makes balls and Frisbees seemingly weightless fly through the air with modern juggling.

International Varieté Art with Bochum Stage

The direction of Sammy Tavalis focuses on pace, contrast, and the immediate magic of the live moment. The trio Beautiful brings elegance and acrobatic dynamism. Duo Deibit y Nimeria showcase spectacular trapeze artistry, Kimberley Lester delights in the antipodes performance, and the Skating Willers combine speed, balance, and stage presence on roller skates.

Comedy, Singing, and Surprising Twists

The evening is hosted by Pierre Poissonnet with singing, charm, and artistic instinct. As a descendant of a long-standing circus family, he embodies the connection between classic varieté and modern show dramaturgy. The anarchic comedy is provided by Davide Nicolosi aka Skizzo, who blends magic, music, dance, anti-juggling, and spontaneous stage moments into a unique comedic character.

A Sensual Stage Experience for the Winter Season

Light design, costumes, and stage sets condense the atmosphere into a colorful show world. The acoustics of the hall equally carry live singing, music, and audience reactions. Between awe, laughter, and tense silence, the special audience reaction emerges that has always characterized varieté: Every performance possesses the magic of the unrepeatable.
