When Winter Strikes: ICE COLD CAUGHT! in Bochum

On November 6, 2026, Varieté et cetera transforms into a stage for breathtaking artistry, fast-paced roller-skating, and surprising comedy. The winter show ICE COLD CAUGHT! combines international performers into a diverse stage experience that merges circus tradition, modern variety arts, and a lively theater atmosphere.

Gravity Becomes a Minor Matter

Dizzying aerial acrobatics, straps, contortion, and partner acrobatics characterize the production. The duo Deibit y Nymeria brings spectacular spins, ascents, and an unusual tooth hang to the stage on hanging straps. Sudi Salumu demonstrates his exceptional body control in a contortion act, while the trio Beautiful creates moments filled with tension and elegance with precise hand-to-hand acrobatics.

Roller Skates, Juggling, and the Rhythm of Wonder

Tempo is delivered by Pierre Poissonnet and Kimberly Lester with their roller-skating artistry. Poissonnet serves as the host and singer throughout the evening, combining musical presence with the artistic tradition of his circus family. Kimberly Lester complements the program with antipodes: while lying on her back, she keeps several balls in the air with her feet.

The Bochum artist Walid Merhi gives juggling a modern touch. Balls and frisbees fly through the space in artistically set arcs, accompanied by a interplay of classical sounds and modern beats.

Comedy as Anarchic Counterpoint

Between the artistic highlights, Davide Skizzo Nicolosi provides comedic surprises. His stage character combines magic, music, dance, anti-juggling, and spontaneous moments. This gives the dramaturgy of the winter show a light, unpredictable note that directly connects thrills and laughter.

Direction, Set Design, and Lighting

Director Sammy Tavalis unifies the different disciplines into a coherent variety evening. Lighting design, costumes, and set design create the atmospheric framework for a performance where each act develops its own rhythm. The audience's reaction arises from the interplay of concentrated silence, visible physical work, and liberating laughter.

Conclusion: A Winter Evening Full of Surprises

ICE COLD CAUGHT! promises an intense stage experience with acrobatics, juggling, music, comedy, and roller-skating artistry. Those who want to experience the theatrical atmosphere of Varieté et cetera live will find an evening filled with thrills, elegance, and hearty humor.
