When winter becomes the stage: ICE COLD CAUGHT! in Bochum

On November 7, 2026, the Varieté et cetera in Bochum transforms into a sparkling arena full of excitement, humor, and artistic surprises. The winter show ICE COLD CAUGHT! combines international artistry with music, comedy, and a fast-paced stage experience for everyone who wants to experience theater atmosphere beyond classic acting stages.

Artistic play with gravity

Daring aerial acrobats, flexible contortionists, and daredevil roller skating artistry define the production. The ensemble leads the audience through a dramaturgy of amazement, risk, and comical twists. Straps, juggling, antipodism, and acrobatics merge into a fast-paced variety composition where each performance reinvents the stage space.

Between elegance, precision, and surprising humor

The evening is hosted by Pierre Poissonnet with moderation and singing. The artist comes from a long-standing circus family and combines charming presence with artistic energy. Together with Kimberly Lester, he continues the story of the Skating Willers and brings a thrilling roller skating act to the stage.

For a special physical boundary experience, Sudi Salumu provides. As a contortionist, the artist from Zanzibar twists his body into positions that oscillate between astonishing balance and poetic body art. His performance represents a theatrical art without words: expression, tension, and precision arise solely from movement.

Juggling, comedy, and a stage full of movement

Walid Merhi brings balls and frisbees into a modern juggling dialogue with music and rhythm. His performance combines classical elegance with contemporary energy. The trio Beautiful adds acrobatic lightness to the evening, while Davide Skizzo Nicolosi ensures anarchic moments with comedy, music, dance, and anti-juggling.

Under the direction of Sammy Tavalis, a variety production is created that shapes different disciplines into a common tension arc. Lighting design and costumes support the transition between frosty winter aesthetics, festive atmosphere, and surprising color accents. The result is a stage set in constant motion, driven by acoustics, rhythm, and immediate audience reaction.

An evening for amazement and shared laughter

ICE COLD CAUGHT! focuses on the sensual power of live performance: the moment before the next jump, the brief pause before a risky figure, and the liberating laughter after a comical twist. Anyone wanting to experience variety, acrobatics, comedy, and music in a winter show will find an energetic stage experience at Varieté et cetera.

The audience can expect a versatile winter show featuring international artistry, virtuoso juggling, roller skating acrobatics, contortion, and humorous moderation. Secure your spot and experience the magic of stage art live in Bochum.
