When Winter Sparks Fly: "ICE COLD CAUGHT!" at Varieté et cetera
On November 15, 2026, Varieté et cetera in Bochum transforms into a stage for thrilling acrobatics, surprising comedy, and wintry variety magic. The show "ICE COLD CAUGHT!" combines acrobatics, juggling, music, singing, and roller-skating artistry into a stage experience full of pace, elegance, and quirky twists.
Artistic Thrills under the Spotlight
The production focuses on dizzying aerial acrobatics, flexible contortion, and spectacular juggling. Aerial straps, body art, and flying balls create that tension that has always characterized variety: Every moment feels weightless, yet remains firmly anchored in precise technique and years of acting and artist experience.
Especially impressive is Sudi Salumu, whose contortion seemingly defies all anatomical rules of the human body. Bochum artist Walid Merhi brings movement into space with modern juggling, while the trio Beautiful provides visual highlights with elegance and acrobatic precision.
Roller-skating Artistry, Music, and Grand Gestures
With Pierre Poissonnet as a host, the evening is guided through moderation, singing, and artistry. Together with Kimberly Lester, he continues the tradition of the Skating Willers: The roller-skating number promises speed, balance, and stage acrobatics where every direction change becomes a small dramatic finale.
The stage design by Ronny Cabello and Patrick Siekmann, the lighting design by Ronny Cabello, and the costume design by Lara Cabello give the winter show its festive framework. Director Sammy Tavalis shapes the individual performances into a varied tension arc between wonder, laughter, and musical atmosphere.
Comedy as an Anarchic Counterpoint
Where the artistry demands the highest concentration, Davide “Skizzo” Nicolosi brings liberating chaos. His stage character connects magic, music, dance, comedy, and anti-juggling with spontaneous moments. This creates a dramaturgy that relies not only on technical excellence but also on audience reaction, surprising breaks, and immediate theater atmosphere.
A Winter Evening for All the Senses
"ICE COLD CAUGHT!" does not focus on a single genre but rather on the entire diversity of modern variety art. Acoustic elements, lighting ambiance, costumes, and movement interweave to create an experiential world between circus tradition and contemporary stage art. The audience experiences an evening where breath catches before laughter opens the hall once more.
The conclusion: At Varieté et cetera, an ordinary theater evening awaits, but rather a multifaceted winter show with international artistry, live music, comedy, and spectacular bodily images. Those who love the special closeness between stage and audience will experience on November 15 a stage experience full of energy, charm, and surprising moments.
