"ICE COLD CAUGHT!": A wintry variety show with acrobatics, humor, and spine-tingling moments

When the lights go out in the Varieté et cetera, a thrilling journey begins between artistry, music, and surprising comedy. The winter show "ICE COLD CAUGHT!" combines fearless aerial acrobatics, astonishing body art, juggling, roller skating, and comedy into a sparkling stage experience for the cold season from the very first moment.

A Varieté stage full of movement

The production thrives on the change of tempo: here a body seems to float weightlessly through the air, there balls and frisbees whirl through the space. Aerial artistry, contortion, and acrobatic formations elegantly counteract gravity. The stage design, lighting design, and costumes create a wintry theatrical atmosphere, where every performance feels like a small magic trick of its own.

Artistic skill meets comedic energy

The evening is hosted by Pierre Poissonnet with singing, charm, and artistic presence. The moderator comes from a long-standing circus family and, together with Kimberly Lester in the roller skating number of the Skating Willers, brings speed, precision, and elegant danger. Their performance combines athletic excellence with the shine of classic variety art.

Adding an anarchic touch is Davide "Skizzo" Nicolosi. His comedy blends magic, music, dance, anti-juggling, and spontaneous moments. This creates a dramaturgy that intertwines wonder and laughter closely, leading the audience to a new punchline again and again.

International artistry and award-winning body art

A highlight is Sudi Salumu, who, as a contortionist, transforms his body into seemingly impossible positions. In 2025, he received the Special Award of the Varieté et cetera at the Newcomer Show in Leipzig. Bochum artist Walid Merhi brings his own dynamic to the stage with modern juggling, while the trio Beautiful ensures strong visual moments with elegance and acrobatic precision.

The direction is by Sammy Tavalis. Together with lighting designer Ronny Cabello, costume designer Lara Cabello, and set designers Ronny Cabello and Patrick Siekmann, a production emerges that combines artistry, music, and comedy into a sensually charged overall experience.

An evening for all senses

"ICE COLD CAUGHT!" not only relies on spectacular movements but also on atmosphere. Acoustics, lighting mood, costumes, and the direct play with the audience make the evening an experience that goes far beyond a mere sequence of acts. The gastronomy of Varieté et cetera can complement the stage experience with culinary offerings upon request.
