When Gravity Takes a Break: ICE COLD CAUGHT! in Bochum

At Varieté et cetera Bochum, winter becomes a sparkling stage experience: ICE COLD CAUGHT! combines international artistry, fast-paced roller skate tricks, juggling, comedy, and music into a spirited variety show for all senses. On January 23, 2027, Pierre Poissonnet hosts an evening that develops its own rhythm between amazement, laughter, and breathless excitement.

Acrobatics Between Elegance and Thrill

The production relies on the immediate power of the live moment. Fearless aerial acrobats, flexible contortionists, and an international ensemble push the stage to its physical limits. The duo Deibit y Nymeria provides spectacular ascents, spins, and risky balancing acts on the straps. Their special specialty, the Toothhang, turns every movement into a moment of utmost concentration.

Roller Skates, Juggling, and a Play with Gravity

With Kimberly Lester and Pierre Poissonnet, fast-paced roller skate artistry sweeps through the hall. The tradition of Skating Willers spans several generations, combining speed with precise body control. Kimberly Lester complements the program with an award-winning antipode performance, where she keeps up to six balls in the air with her feet.

The young Bochum artist Walid Merhi brings modern juggling to the stage. Balls and frisbees fly through the air to a musical mix of classical tunes and contemporary beats. The trio Beautiful transforms hand-to-hand acrobatics into an image full of trust, strength, and seemingly weightless precision.

Comedy as an Anarchic Counterpoint

Where the artistry holds the breath, Skizzo opens the floodgates to surprising comedy. His stage character combines magic, music, dance, anti-juggling, and spontaneous ideas. This gives the dramaturgy of the winter show a deliberately unpredictable counterpoint: following the utmost body tension comes the liberating laugh, and after astonished silence, a chaotic moment.

Direction, Stage Design, and Theater Atmosphere

Director Sammy Tavalis brings the different disciplines together for a varied evening. Lighting design and stage concepts create the framework for a show where each act reveals its own color and dynamics. Costumes, acoustics, and precisely timed transitions intensify the theater atmosphere while Pierre Poissonnet moderates and sings, holding the evening together.

The audience's reactions arise from the shift of moods: amazement at the aerial acrobatics, thrill at the roller skates, admiration for the body art, and carefree laughter with Skizzo. ICE COLD CAUGHT! presents variety as a living stage art that is not explained but directly experienced.

Conclusion: A Winter Evening Full of Surprises

Visitors can expect an energetic stage experience at Varieté et cetera featuring international artistry, music, comedy, and a good dose of thrill. Those who wish to experience the magic of variety in its direct, sensual form will find an evening filled with elegance, risk, and great joy in ICE COLD CAUGHT!
