ICE COLD CAUGHT! brings wintry variety magic to Bochum

When the lights dim in Varieté et cetera, a thrilling journey begins between breathtaking acrobatics, musical humor, and surprising twists. The winter show ICE COLD CAUGHT! combines from October 30, 2026, to February 28, 2027, acrobatics, comedy, juggling, singing, and roller skating into a versatile stage experience for all senses.

Artistic fireworks with an international ensemble

The production takes the audience through a sequence of spectacular numbers: aerial acrobatics defy gravity, straps transform the stage into a vertical playground, and contortion showcases the human body in astonishing agility. Sudi Salumu, awarded the Special Award at the Newcomer Show in Leipzig in 2025, presents his extraordinary art of body control.

Walid Merhi provides speed with modern juggling, where balls and Frisbees whirl through the air. The trio Beautiful focuses on elegant acrobatics, while Duo Deibit y Nimeria creates powerful images between tension and weightlessness with straps.

Roller skating, music, and comedic surprises

The winter show gains a special flair through the roller skating acrobatics of the Skating Willers. Pierre Poissonnet hosts and sings throughout the evening, combining a confident stage presence with artistic ability. Together with Kimberly Lester, he keeps the tradition of fast-paced roller skating alive.

Kimberly Lester also brings her experience from international variety shows, dinner shows, and the Cirque du Soleil environment. In her antipode performance, balls seemingly move weightlessly – a precisely choreographed interplay of balance, rhythm, and trust.

Comedy as an anarchic counterpoint

Between the artistic highlights, Davide Nicolosi, alias Skizzo, provides a wonderfully unpredictable comedic touch. His stage character combines magic, music, dance, comedy, and anti-juggling. Thus, the dramaturgy of the show repeatedly yields surprising breaks: laughter follows tense silence, and an absurd moment follows physical excellence.

Light, costume, and set design as active participants

The direction by Sammy Tavalis structures the evening as a varied number revue with changing tempos and moods. Lighting designer Ronny Cabello sets the artistic movements in contrasting images, while Lara Cabello shapes the costume design. The set design by Ronny Cabello and Patrick Siekmann creates an atmosphere where each performance unfolds its own visual character.

An evening of amazement, laughter, and shared experience

Varieté et cetera combines spectacular stage art with a family atmosphere and culinary offerings. Doors open two hours before the show for regular evening performances. On Thursday, January 28, 2027, the performance starts at 8:00 PM. Tickets cost 38 or 43 euros, depending on the seat category.
