When Winter Sparks: ICE COLD CAUGHT! in Bochum
In Varieté et cetera, winter transforms into a thrilling stage experience full of acrobatics, music, comedy, and surprising twists. At ICE COLD CAUGHT!, international variety arts meet a spirited show dramaturgy that takes the audience from the very first performance into a world of wonder, laughter, and excitement.
Gravity Becomes Secondary
The production emphasizes spectacular aerial acrobatics, trapeze, contortion, juggling, and elegant roller-skate artistry. Sudi Salumu showcases exceptional body control as a contortionist, while Walid Merhi lets balls and frisbees seemingly fly weightlessly through the air with modern juggling. The trio Beautiful complements the evening with powerful acrobatics and elegant visuals.
Speed, Precision, and Poetic Moments
Between breathtaking roller-skate cascades and artistic peak performances, moments of great lightness arise. Kimberly Lester and Pierre Poissonnet continue the tradition of the Skating Willers with a fast-paced roller-skate number. Pierre Poissonnet also takes charge of moderation and singing, linking the individual acts with charm, rhythm, and a keen sense for audience reaction.
Comedy with Anarchic Spark
The comic twist is provided by Davide Skizzo Nicolosi. His stage character connects magic, music, dance, anti-juggling, and spontaneous elements into an idiosyncratic comedy number. Thus, the dramaturgy between artistic precision and physical risk continually takes on a surprising, delightfully unpredictable turn.
A Winter Show with an International Ensemble
Direction is in the hands of Sammy Tavalis. The set design and lighting create the context for a show in which movement, music, and costumes merge into a sensual total experience. From the quiet concentration before an artistic climax to the thunderous applause, a theater atmosphere develops that makes variety palpable as immediate stage art.
Conclusion: Be There Live and Wonder
ICE COLD CAUGHT! promises an evening where gravity loses its power and each performance holds a new surprise. Anyone wishing to experience acrobatics, comedy, music, and great variety moments live will find an evening full of energy, elegance, and wintry magic at Varieté et cetera.
