When Winter Sparks: ICE COLD CAUGHT! in Bochum
At the Varieté et cetera Bochum, winter transforms into a thrilling stage experience full of artistry, music, comedy, and surprising twists. The show ICE COLD CAUGHT! combines international variety art with a modern dramaturgy that unites thrills and lightness in one evening.
Artistic High-Flying and Astonishing Body Art
Daredevil aerial acrobats, flexible contortionists, and spectacular roller-skating acts defy gravity. Especially Sudi Salumu, as an internationally experienced contortionist, elicits amazed reactions from the audience: The artist twists his elastic body into positions that oscillate between physical precision and poetic wonder. For his work, he received the Special Award of the Varieté et cetera at the Newcomer Show in Leipzig in 2025.
Juggling, Roller Skates, and Music in Quick Succession
Walid Merhi brings balls and frisbees into flowing movements, merging classic artistry with modern musical energy. The roller-skating acrobatics of Skating Willers promise speed, balance, and risky cascades. Pierre Poissonnet hosts the evening, sings live, and combines moderation with the tradition of an international circus family.
Comedy as an Anarchic Counterpoint
Between the artistic highlights, Skizzo adds a wonderfully chaotic touch. His stage character combines comedy, music, dance, magic, and anti-juggling. This creates a staging where tension and relief, elegance and absurd comedy effectively alternate.
Direction, Stage Design, and Theater Atmosphere
Director Sammy Tavalis brings the different disciplines together into a cohesive variety evening. Lighting design, costumes, and stage design support the transition between a dazzling show world, concentrated artistry, and comedic chaos. The theater atmosphere of Varieté et cetera creates direct contact between the stage and the audience.
Conclusion: An Evening of Wonder in Winter
ICE COLD CAUGHT! promises an energy-filled stage experience with aerial artistry, contortion, juggling, roller skating, music, and comedy. Those who want to experience variety live and be surprised by extraordinary physical artistry will find an evening full of speed, precision, and sparkling moments in Bochum on February 4, 2027.
