Wonderful Ruhr area charm with class! The Alte Lohnhalle (Old Pay Hall) is a wedding venue with a strong character and a unique atmosphere. The on-site service is calm, professional, and well-organized. Communication is clear and reliable, without unnecessary stress. You can tell that they have experience with weddings and that the processes are well thought out. This fosters trust and ensures that the day remains relaxed. The Alte Lohnhalle's atmosphere is defined by its industrial origins. Brickwork, open spaces, and the historical structure lend depth and texture to the images. Depending on the light, the rooms can appear either raw or surprisingly warm, which is very appealing photographically and allows for a variety of moods. The venue is also practical. The spaces can be used flexibly, the layout is logical, and a natural flow quickly develops between the reception, dinner, and celebration. This helps not only the guests but also all service providers to work calmly and with focus. A highly recommended location for couples who value atmosphere, individuality, and a professional service.

Excellent event location. The space was perfect for the company party. It comfortably accommodated 150-170 people. The catering was outstanding. The hot and cold buffets were superb. Everything was spot on.

A proper assessment isn't really possible, as I only viewed it from the outside. There's plenty of parking and the surrounding area is lovely for walks.

We got married in the ceremony room on October 4th, 2025. Any questions we had were ALWAYS answered quickly and, above all, very kindly. Everything went smoothly! And you can also take beautiful photos on the grounds or in the surrounding area. It was wonderful, thank you so much! 😇
